I constantly get asked by parents, “what websites do you read?” and “as a parent, what websites should I read?” You all know that I read a ridiculous about of parenting websites, but I have a soft-spot for mom bloggers and wanted to do a great round-up of all of my (and my reader’s) favorite mom bloggers. Below are the reader submissions, reviews and some of each blog’s most popular articles. I am so pleased we got a huge variety of mom blogs submitted.
Stay tuned for best dad blogs, teen blogs and parenting websites. There are many great parenting websites that include mom blogs, I did not put them on here, do not fear, they will be considered in the 50 Best Parenting Websites post. You can email me your submissions at vvanpetten (at) rrules (dot) com.

Hi, I'm a newbie, running a website; http://www.inspiredmum.com. As a fulltime mum, I find it necessary to share the news, ideas with those of the same interests. At least, to release some of the gas inside the mind..Since I don't have office colleagues to share with, the best option is of course thru the blog, with the group of the same interests. Hope I can be accepted in a team and probably we can share the stories among us.
Thanks again, Vanessa, for including us on your list. We recently had to change our URL and site name from Green Mom Finds to The Green Mom Review (http://thegreenmomreview.com). Would it be possible to change our listing to reflect the new name and address? Thank you!
Please check out our website. EcoMom is a global network of women working together to create a healthy and sustainable future. We believe that one of the strongest forces in nature is a network of women and our greatest hope for a better world lies in the maternal instinct to nurture and protect. Awesome list. Thanks!
Some of the funniest Mom “bloggers” I have come across are at Momicillin (www.momicillin.com). They have a daily email subscription that delivers a daily dose of funny to my inbox every day. Helps me get through.
Great list — very informative!
I saw a video this week and thought of these Mommy blogs! It’s actually a pretty revealing and interesting interview with CNN’s Campbell Brown about her crazy life as a working mother. Oh, to be a TV anchorwoman…
There’s actually some really personal and funny stuff in here too — including a hilarious story of FedExing breast milk. Hope everyone will enjoy!

i love this site. it is so great having a resource that i can post mom related questions to. it has been very helpful. love the “pearls” and “tips” sections of the site. some really funny posts and topics on there.
The best website for new Moms through teens is http://www.MamasOnCall.com. It is fabulously written and answers many old questions re. your children. It also is creative and intelligent about the way it handles “old wives tales” and adds some very interesting updates to help new and old Moms and Grandmoms.
It is the inspiration of Pediatrician Rachel Zahn and Family Therapist Ellen Schrier.
Try it. You’ll love it.
Thank you so much!
Vanessa
Thanks so much for this comprehensive listing of such great sites. I am VERY new at blogging, so I have been reading through these sites in utter amazement. It is so awesome that we live in a time when we can connect with other moms/parents and see that we are really not out there going it alone.
I have a blog that reviews a lot of items for the family including a lot of twin products. Additionally, it talks about a wide range of family topics including twins. Hope you’ll check us out some time as you have a great list here.
I will study it & I carry your all suggestions hope so they all are good for my site. Thanks a lot for your tips.
great!
thanks for reading

I am fairly new to blogging and I can’t wait to check these out! In the meantime, I hope you’ll check out mine. http://www.mommylite.blogspot.com.
What is Mommy Lite you ask? Well…”As moms, dads, aunts, uncles, teachers, nannies, whatever…we all know that taking care of kids takes a sense of humor. If you can’t “lighten up”, you’ll never survive. Hence, Mommy Lite was born.
Life is heavy. As the divorced, single mother of a child with autism (Asperger’s Syndrome) and VERY unexpected boy/girl twins, I have learned to “lighten up.” And, since I can’t have you all over for cocktails to swap stories of flying poop, mutiny, and needless head banging (my son…but sometimes me), I encourage all of you to share the parenting stories, quips and observations that make you laugh.
No long-winded stories of hardship, no dragged out tales of tears. Mommy Lite is a dose of humor to lighten your spirit – if only for a moment – and to remind you that this time is short, childhood is brief, and that you were that stupid once too.
So, if you are prepared to lighten up, (or are just thinking about lightening up), Mommy Lite is for you!
Hi, this is a great lineup, thank you. But you forgot my favorite network: Mom Blog Network (www.momblognetwork.com). I start my day by seeing what’s hot on the mommy blogosphere. I’m bookmarking yours, too! :)
This is a great list! I wouldn’t mind if you’d stop by and peek at my blog – it’s my “daily plate of crazy” – parenting and a lot more. Life overflowing, with it’s joys, humor, discoveries and challenges. (And great French lingerie and shoes thrown in!)
Parenting two teens solo, there’s plenty of mother-mania in the mix.
This site is a terrific find – thank you!

“I truly believe the more information and resources you have, the better. Please feel free to continue to post your own submissions in the comments! And forward to any other mom bloggers to post about their sites.”
I do agree with you. Competition is not to be afraid of, if you have a good information and a better insight of things whether good or bad it will be given credit on what you wanted to address to readers.
I just stumbled across your blog and I had to drop a note and say that it’s really awesome. I don’t write a parenting blog – all these guys take care of that quite well. I’ll be investigating more…
thank you so much!
Vanessa

COMPLETE OUTFITS. TOTAL SAVINGS.
Great list! I’ve been blogging about raising my baby while on tour with my husband’s band for a few months now, and since most of my readers come from interest in the band and not people specifically interested in Mom blogs, I don’t know much about them. This list has been great to see what other blogs are out there and give me an idea of where mine might fit in among them all.
Check out tourtot.com if you have a chance and let me know what you think!
I just ran across your blog… Very informative!! You mention you are looking for great blogs by men and dads. You have to check out Dr. Rod’s blog THE NORMAL MALE at http://www.thenormalmale.wordpress.com
He is very witty and yet informative about being a Normal Male (dad, husband, ect). His writing about first time fathers has been published. You and your readers will not be disappointed!! As an example today’s blog is titled “Who’s Your Daddy? Women and Children Struggle to Understand Men’s Absentee Ballot” … and who doesn’t love it when someone can intertwine Homer Simpson and John Edwards in the same post!
Other titles include: “Normal Males are Marrying Up” , “Do Men and Humility Mix?” and “The Saturday Two Step”
Hope you like it!!
Greta Koenigin, a former teacher and mother of three, writes about her life at http://www.savingprivatemommy.com. Check it out! Her posts are well written, humorous and clever and always craving more.
