Destiny, 16 from the Philippines

Olivia
is not your ordinary, 16-year-old teenage girl from Manila,
Philippines. She loves to read books on literature, write novels and
her favorite subject is English. She dreams to become both a novelist
and celebrity.

What do you want to be when you grow-up?

            I’ve always wanted to be a very successful novelist/artist/lawyer. But also, the idea of a actor/director thrills me. 

What is your dream job? (even if skills/money/practicality doesn’t matter)

            My
dream job is to be a really great role model for teens and children. I
want to write and write and write –for them, of course. I want my
articles to serve as passageways to go through whatever they are
currently experiencing.

Do you know what you want to study in college?

            Perhaps Journalism or Political Science.

Do you know where you want to go to college?

            No. Everything is unsettled at the moment.

What is the biggest misconception you think parents have about teens?

            That teens are always flexible and “okay”.

IF there is one thing you could tell parents about teens what would it be?

            Teens are no different than most adults. We have as much stress as they do.

What is your favorite website?

            YouTube.

Least favorite thing about high school, most favorite thing about high school:

            Least – The school “In” groups, Most – The English Subject and great bonding with friends
