I would also like to add, if you like the Hype Machine, go check out Last.fm ( http://www.last.fm ). The site allows you to discover new music based on your current tastes, or by searching through new genres; it gives you your own personal "station" to listen to all the bands listed on your profile; you will see how compatible your music tastes are with others when you visit their profile; and the site even has groups so you can talk with others of similar interests.
