Teen Trends for the Week of 9/9/09

Each week we will be posting about Youthology, or what our teens are seeing on the street and trends parents and adults should keep up with or can use to start discussions with their teens! Our Teen Trendspotter Intern is Antonia Valentine from Albany, NY.

YouTube Trend: Britney Spears surprised fans at her Greensboro, NC concert when she sang Alanis Morissette’s ‘You Oughta Know’ live.

Twitter Trend: A new iPhone app, Spotify, allows users to listen to as many songs as they wish for a monthly subscripton price. Because this app may run some heavy competition against the iTunes store, it has not been released in the United States yet.

Search Trend: The MTV Video Music Awards will take place this Sunday, September 13th from Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Russell Brand will be hosting for the second year in a row.

TeenAbout is a live updates and texting project for-teens-by-teens giving all teens around the world a safe place to keep up with friends and make new friends (Live updats, texting) without having to deal with grown-ups on other social networks. Not only can you tell other teens around the world what you are up to, you can show them using our picture uploading feature.
