Why Fingerboarding is the New Youth Trend
1) You Can Make Your Own Fingerboard
I have seen many teens use shop class to make awesome homemade Fingerboards instead of having to buy an expensive skateboard at a store.

Teens have put together some great guides on how to make fingerboards easily.
2) You Can Collect Your Own Fingerboards
It is a very collectable item. I believe for many it is the new baseball card.
3) Fingerboarding is Less Dangerous
I do not think youth themselves would say this. But you can fingerboard in the middle of the night, in stylish clothes and not really worry about getting hurt (although finger cuts are common).
4) You Can Make a Fingerboarding Skate Park in Your Kitchen
There are a few companies that actually make fingerboarding ramps and mini parks. Teens can also make their own. This is much easier than convincing your mom to set up a park in the front yard or skating 10 miles to the closest drain pipe.
I think we are going to see more and more fingerboarding competitions.
