What is the biggest misconception you think parents have about teens?
Parents think that teens are living the same way they did when they were our age. The truth is, a lot has change since our parents were teens so their teenage years were not the same as ours. We face new problems because of technology and new pressures because of the media. Every generation is different so parents shouldn’t think that their teens are going through the EXACT same things they did as teens.

If there is one thing you could tell parents about teens what would it be?
Give us a chance!!! Give us a chance to prove ourselves. As we begin to trust each other more, let us make some choices on our own. Everyone makes mistakes so give us another chance to fix them and learn from them.

What is the biggest misconception you think parents have about teens?

I think the biggest misconception would definitely have to be that we have no clue what we’re doing. We are far from perfect and make many mistakes but most of the time, a lot of thought goes into the decisions we make.

If there is one thing you could tell parents about teens what would it be?

I would tell parents that we will make mistakes. We will try and we will fail at times, but we will try our best.

My least favorite thing about high school would probably be cramming for all my exams. My favorite thing would have to be the good times with my friends – after school, lunch, and making jokes in class.
